Job description:

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Estimator working closely with Project Managers to work for a market leading business based in Elland supplying into the building industry. As a business they are consistently exploring new markets and new business opportunities, using technological innovation to add value to their product range.

Purpose of the role

Contribute to the achievement of sales targets through the provision of excellent customer interactions and administrative coordination and support.

· Prepare quotes and any other sales documentation as required to clients.

· Must be able to understand architectural drawings, read specifications and complete necessary take-offs for quoting.

· Regularly reviews construction lists such as Barbour ABI and Insightly looking for projects with competitive products specified.

· Adds customers and project information into CRM and maintains accuracy of all information in the CRM.

· Manage and maintain relationships with key installers within assigned.

· Seeks new relationships with key local installers not yet familiar with Company.

· Manage design, quoting, and take off process for substitution jobs.

· Project manage specified jobs from budgeting stage through to installation keeping track of key dates and project milestones ensuring projects stay on track.

· Delivers Superior Customer Service

· Continuously delivers a high level of service, building on Company’s reputation of quality, design excellence and reliability; individually contributing to the maintenance and increase in market share.

· Communicate queries and issues to the relevant internal team member(s) to ensure a prompt reply can be given to the Client.

· Proactively resolves customer queries, acting as liaison between customer and relevant department, meeting customer needs in a courteous and timely manner.

· Track, follow-up and resolve customer's outstanding issues in a timely manner.

· Maintains up-to-date product knowledge; Customers receive accurate information, delivered with confidence.

· Attend industry seminars, trade shows and networking events as required, to stay informed and well known.

· Adheres to all requirements outlined within the company’s Environmental Policy and Quality Policy

· Understands individual role and responsibility in the achievement of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001

· Supports internal environment training and awareness programmes, attends employee training and development.

· Communicates and educates team members and manager of the relevant environmental issues; ensuring that company procedures are appropriate and implemented.

· Maintains a constant focus on quality with full dedication, commitment, and teamwork.

· Supports the cultivation of a team environment of continuous improvement.

Qualifications / Requirements

· Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

· Requires eye for detail, proof reading for accuracy, and maintaining quality expectations.

· Must have strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

· Have experience with fast paced projects

· Ability to effectively present information and answer questions in terms that are easily comprehended

· Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced work environment.

· Comfortable with learning product information and solutions quickly

· Experience in the Building Materials and Construction industry required.

· Must have architectural quoting experience.

· Must be able to read architectural drawings, specifications, and be able to perform take-offs

Remuneration

· Salary up to £40,000

· Bonus twice per year

· Private health care

Working hours

· Monday to Thursday 08:00- 16:30/ Friday 08:00- 16:00
