We are currently recruiting for a skilled Mechanical / Electrical Fitter to join a leading manufacturing business based in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company that designs and manufactures specialist electrical equipment for customers across the UK and overseas. Working as part of an experienced operations team, you will be involved in the assembly, fitting and testing of a range of bespoke products to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical and electrical assembly of products and components
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Fitting and installing mechanical and electrical parts
- Using a range of hand tools and workshop equipment
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the assembly process
- Completing production documentation accurately
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets and deadlines
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience within a mechanical, electrical or engineering assembly environment
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Good practical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience using hand tools and workshop machinery
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Mechanical or electrical qualifications would be advantageous
- Apprentice-trained candidates are encouraged to apply
